Frequently Asked Questions

According to Cambridge English, about 200 hours study should increase your score by 1 band (200 hours should increase your CEFR rating by 1 level). However, this is a major simplification. It depends on many factors (do you need to improve language skills or test skills? Will you study alone or with guidance?)

We can help you to prepare for your IELTS test in a very short amount of time through one-to-one classes, but it will depend on your current level of English. Test takers with great English may be able to get scores of 7.0 or higher with just a few hours of one-to-one tuition. The best thing you can do is to sign up for a free consultation so we can properly evaluate your needs and tell you whether your goals are realistic within a limited timeframe.

Make sure that you give yourself plenty of time to prepare. You will need to improve both your technical language skills (such as grammar and vocabulary) as well as test skills. Investing in a good, reliable service such as the courses, tests and feedback offered by Paramount IELTS can help you to do this. While there are plenty of materials online to help you prepare for free, including those on our site, there is no substitute for expert guidance and feedback for your speaking and writing.

We cannot guarantee that you will get your desired score, and it would be irresponsible and misleading of us to do so. We will do our utmost to help you achieve your goals, but unfortunately, we cannot take the test for you!

What we can guarantee is that through our services, you will receive a top quality education delivered by experienced and dedicated former examiners. You will learn not just how to succeed in the IELTS test, but also how to perform well in your future academic or professional career in English!
